No Ceilings is a mixtape by American rapper Lil Wayne. It was scheduled to be released on October 31, 2009, but was leaked before the official date. No Ceilings was officially released on October 31 (Halloween), with 4 additional tracks. The mixtape is available as a free and legal download and it generally received positive reviews from critics.
Lil Wayne had two tracks, "Wasted" and "Swag Surf," both of which were recorded and leaked onto the internet on October 11. These were followed by "Run This Town" on October 25. The majority of the mixtape was leaked out to the public on multiple websites October 26, 2009. The mixtape contains various freestyles over popular rap and R&B songs' instrumentals and features current artists from his Young Money label including Nicki Minaj, Short Dawg, Gudda Gudda, Shanell, Jae Millz, and Tyga. It was officially released on weareyoungmoney.com via a live Ustream video and included higher quality audio as well as 4 additional tracks. The song "Single" was released on May 11, 2010 as a single on iTunes titled "I'm Single", and has charted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. A video for the track has been shot. The single was also released on Wayne's I Am Not a Human Being album. The song "No Ceilings" was released to iTunes under the title Pop That on the "Loyalty EP" which also included Birdman's new single "Loyalty" which featured Tyga and Lil Wayne. When police pulled over Lil’ Wayne’s tour bus after claiming to smell marijuana, the rapper plead guilty to “attempted criminal possession of a weapon." Although pleading guilty still landed Wayne in Riker’s Island Prison for a year, it greatly reduced his possible sentence. Lil’ Wayne was dealing with his arrest and charges while writing his mixtape “No Ceilings,” and he actually mentions his arrest multiple times in lyrics throughout the tape.
Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. (born September 27, 1982), better known by his stage name Lil Wayne, is an American hip hop recording artist from New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1991, at the age of nine, Lil Wayne joined Cash Money Records as the youngest member of the label, and half of the duo The B.G.'z, alongside fellow New Orleans-based rapper Lil' Doogie. In 1996, Lil Wayne formed the southern hip hop group Hot Boys, with his Cash Money label-mates Juvenile, Young Turk and Lil' Doogie (who now goes by B.G.). Hot Boys debuted with Get It How U Live!, that same year. Most of the group's success came with their platinum-selling album Guerrilla Warfare (1999) and the 1999 single "Bling Bling". Along with being the flagship artist of Cash Money Records, Lil Wayne is also the chief executive officer (CEO) of his own label imprint, Young Money Entertainment, which he founded in 2005.
Lil Wayne's solo debut album Tha Block Is Hot (1999), was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His subsequent albums, Lights Out (2000) and 500 Degreez (2002), went on to be certified gold. Wayne reached higher popularity with his fourth album Tha Carter (2004), which was led by the single "Go D.J." and his appearance on Destiny's Child's Top 10 single "Soldier", that same year. The album was followed by Tha Carter II (2005), as well as several mixtapes and collaborations throughout 2006 and 2007. Wayne gained more prominence with his sixth album Tha Carter III (2008), which became his most successful album to date, with first-week sales of over one million copies in the United States. The album won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album and includes the hit singles "Lollipop", "A Milli" and "Got Money".
No Ceilings 2 is a mixtape by American rapper Lil Wayne, released on November 26, 2015. The mixtape was released through Young Money Entertainment now that Wayne parted ways with Cash Money Records. Two of the mixtape's rumored track are both a remix of Drake's Back to Back and Drake and Future's Where Ya At. It features guest appearances from Baby E, Curren$y, Euro, Future, Gudda Gudda, Hoodybaby, Jae Millz, King Los, Lucci Lou, Mannie Fresh, Shanell, Stephanie Acevedo, T@, Turk, & Yo Gotti
Overall, No Ceilings 2 has received fairly positive reviews with few opinions being generally quite sour particularly, when comparing it to his first No Ceilings mixtape. Despite that, professional critics felt more warmly to the tape. HeyReverb described Wayne's efforts as loose and limber. Going on to say It’s hilarious, absurd, outrageous and brilliant. Forbes commented "Despite Label Woes, Lil Wayne Remains The Mixtape Master".
NME wrote a very positive review, giving the mixtape 4/5 and saying "This aint a stop-gap, it’s a goddamn arms race. 'No Ceilings 2', Lil Wayne’s newest free mixtape, is about more than suppressing fans’ appetites for the New Orleans rapper’s much-delayed album 'Tha Carter V', of which there’s still no sign. His third release this year, and sequel to 2009’s 'No Ceilings', is a reminder of Wayne’s prowess, as he outdoes rivals on their own tracks.

Byron O. Thomas, (born March 20, 1969) professionally known by his stage name Mannie Fresh is a hip hop recording artist, record producer and DJ who is best known for his work with Cash Money Records from 1993 to 2005 and one half of the hip hop duo Big Tymers. Mannie Fresh is currently signed to both Def Jam South and his own division company, Chubby Boy Records.
Thomas began loving music at the age of nine as a local New Orleans DJ, playing songs at parties and clubs. In the late 1980s he began a partnership with New Orleans rapper MC Gregory D. They released their first album together Throwdown in 1987, with Mannie Fresh producing and MC Gregory D rapping. They would release two more records together in the late 1980s and early 1990s. After their last album together, in 1993 Thomas met Bryan "Baby" Williams who gave him an opportunity to become the in-house producer of his record label Cash Money Records. With Williams's help, Thomas made chart-topping albums for the Hot Boys, which was composed of Lil Wayne, B.G., Juvenile, and Turk, producing all of the group’s singles. He also produced all tracks on the members’ solo works as well.

Projeto Identidade Eterna - 2° Encontro.
